Death Stranding 2 surpasses 2 million sales following PC launch

Death Stranding 2 has officially launched on PC, arriving just less than one year after its initial release on PS5. Thanks to this new version of the game, total sales for Death Stranding 2 have pushed over 2 million.

According to Alinea Analytics (via Eurogamer), Death Stranding 2 sold around 425,000 copies on Steam during its launch week. On PS5, the game has sold over 1.6 million copies to date, so the PC version has pushed the game's total sales to over 2 million.

For reference, Death Stranding 1 has shipped an estimated 1.6 million copies on PC, so Death Stranding 2 still has some ways to go in order to catch up. It might take some time though, as the sequel launched as a full-priced £70 game, while the original launched at £49.99. Many will be waiting to see that price come down through sales before picking the game up.

So far, the PC version of Death Stranding 2 has overwhelmingly positive user reviews on Steam, with fans impressed with the graphics, performance, new combat options and audio design.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
