Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase announced

With the Switch soon to be on its way out, there remain a small number of Nintendo Directs left before focus shifts towards the company’s next generation device. With that, the Switch maker has now announced a 25-minute Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase – where we might see the official announcement of Xbox’s 3rd party plans.

Making the announcement on their website, Nintendo revealed that a Partner Showcase is on its way very soon, saying:

“A Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase is coming! Watch on-demand via YouTube on February 21st at 14:00 (UK time) for around 25 mins of info focused on Nintendo Switch games coming in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners.”

With Microsoft recently revealing that they plan to bring 4 different Xbox titles to ‘other platforms’ (i.e. Switch and PS5), it begs the question as to whether some of these as-of-yet-unnamed titles will wind up being announced here.

That said, it is curious to see that the showcase will simply be dropped onto YouTube as a regular video instead of a livestream – meaning viewers could skip straight to the end for the biggest announcements. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what the company has planned to show off.

KitGuru says: Are you excited for the Partner Showcase? Do you think it will include Microsoft titles? What Xbox game do you think is coming to Switch first? Let us know down below.
