Lian Li launches V2 SFX PSUs featuring 450W-Rated 12V-2×6 connectors

Lian Li has launched the SP V2 series, a refresh of its popular SFX-style power supplies. The new lineup, which includes 750W and 850W models, has been updated to the latest ATX 3.1 standard and now features the modern 12V-2×6 power connector.

The new SP750 V2 and SP850 V2 are fully modular, 80 Plus Gold-rated units built with all-Japanese capacitors and cooled by a 92 mm fluid-dynamic bearing fan. Moreover, it comes with a 10-year warranty for extra peace of mind.

Both the 750W and 850W models will ship with the same set of cables, which includes two 8-pin EPS connectors for the CPU and two standard 6+2 pin PCIe connectors. Additionally, each unit comes with a 12V-2×6 connector, but this one connector is rated for a maximum of 450W of continuous power. While this is sufficient for the vast majority of high-end GPUs typically found in compact SFX builds, it is a notable detail compared to the 600W-capable cables commonly found on many full-size ATX units.

As a nice touch for themed small form factor builds, both wattage models will be available in either black or white.

KitGuru says: There are not many SFX power supplies compliant with the new ATX 3.1 standard, and the few available tend to be quite expensive. Hopefully, the new Lian Li SP V2 will improve things in this regard.
