VR Games Showcase announced

While virtual reality may not have blown up in the way some companies were hoping, VR still has a strong audience of dedicated users. With a decreasing number of VR games being represented in major video game showcases, a new dedicated VR Games showcase has now sprung up.

Being organised by Jamie Feltham, former employee at UploadVR and Fast Travel games, the upcoming VR Games Showcase is set to take place on the 15th of August at 5pm UK time “featuring massive new game announcements and first-looks from some of your favourite VR studios. Including titles for Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, and PC VR headsets.”

While we have yet to get a full list of partners set to be present at the showcase, the team did confirm that over 15 titles will be shown off, including:

• Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded
• Announcements From Flat2VR Studios
• New Titles From The Developers of Ghosts of Tabor
• What’s Next From Vertigo, nDreams & More

Discussing their intentions with this showcase, Feltham claimed “With the VR Games Showcase, we want to capture the magic of a Nintendo Direct or Xbox Showcase and deliver a major moment for VR gaming.”

They continued, “You can expect surprise announcements you didn’t see coming, gameplay deep dives for staple releases, and innovative experiences not possible in any other medium. Whether you have a Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, or PC VR headset, or you just want to see a fantastic gaming showcase with major announcements, you won’t want to miss this.”
