Adata unveils new cooling technology for DDR5-8000+ memory modules

Adata has announced that its new DDR5-8000+ memory modules will feature a new cooling solution to further reign in the temperatures high-speed DDR5 memory can reach. By applying ‘Thermal Coating' to its overclocked RAM modules and kits, Adata expects to see a noticeable 10% improvement in temperatures. 

The new technology uses a thermal coating that acts as an additional heat-dissipation surface. According to Adata, this new technology results in an 8.5°C temperature decrease in real-world testing.

The manufacturer plans to deploy this technology in their fastest overclocked kits with 8000MHz or higher speeds. Adata has shared a picture (above) demonstrating the application of the thermal coating to a Lancer Neon DDR5-8000 memory kit without heatsinks to see the temperature difference.

According to the company, the first memory kits with thermal coating will be available in Q2 2024, with more to come around Computex 2024.

KitGuru says: The 8.5ºC temperature reduction is fairly impressive. However, that's without the heatsink. We would like to see if this reduction is similar when using the thermal coating paired with a heatsink.
