Metroid Prime 4 gets long-awaited trailer and 2025 release date

Metroid Prime 4 was first announced in late 2017 and fans have been waiting for news on the game ever since. Today during Nintendo Direct, we finally got our first full trailer, including a look at gameplay ahead of the game's 2025 release date.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is releasing for Nintendo Switch in 2025. The short two minute trailer showcases Samus on an alien planet, faced with new threats:

Interestingly, with this game releasing in 2025, it could end up being a cross-generation title. Nintendo is currently planning a ‘Switch 2', utilising the same portable/home console concept, with some design changes and newer hardware under the hood. The new console will be backwards compatible, but we do not yet know if older titles will benefit from the newer hardware with higher frame rates or resolutions.

Metroid isn't the only major Nintendo IP getting some love today. Nintendo also announced a new Zelda game too, in which players will finally play as Zelda herself, instead of Link.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
