Death Stranding 2 PC trailer showcases PC-exclusive features and new content

Kojima Productions has revealed the full list of new features coming to Death Stranding 2 tomorrow, alongside the launch of the game's PC version. On top of that, we also have confirmation on a number of PC-exclusive features too.

The PC version of Death Stranding 2 introduces a new high‑difficulty mode called “to the wilder”, designed for players seeking a more punishing challenge. The mode places Sam in harsher environments filled with stronger enemies, requiring more precise planning and execution to complete deliveries. A new VR training area, “Trapped in a Strange Realm”, lets players revisit Sam’s encounters with Neil, and new fieldware items such as bandanas can be unlocked.

The Chiral Feline will also appear in the private room aboard the DHV Magellan, with new Photo Mode options added as well. All of the new content will arrive on PS5 at the same time as the PC launch. Players who link their accounts will receive unique backpack patches and an exclusive suit inspired by the PlayStation logo.

PC‑exclusive technical features include support for Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS, along with uncapped frame rates, custom graphics settings, and super‑ultrawide 32:9 gameplay support. Standard ultrawide 21:9 support is available for both gameplay and cutscenes on PC and will also be added to the PS5 version. PC players with high‑end hardware can enable ray‑traced reflections and ambient occlusion, enhancing lighting, shadows, and reflective surfaces such as water and tar.

The PC version also includes full mouse and keyboard support with remappable controls, DualSense features via wired connection, and spatial audio support through Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, or Windows Sonic.

Death Stranding 2 will be available in Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions, with the latter offering early unlocks for weapons, patches, and multiple gold‑tier Skeleton variants. Pre‑order bonuses for the standard PC version include silver variants of the Battle, Boost, and Bokka Skeletons, along with an early‑unlock Quokka hologram.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
