Sonic the Hedgehog 4 film gets first official teaser

Sonic the Hedgehog is perhaps more popular than he’s ever been, thanks in large part to the success of the live-action film series. With 3 movies and a TV show spin-off now under their belt, SEGA / Paramount have officially begun to tease the next entry; confirming that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will feature the iconic villain Metal Sonic.

Releasing a title reveal trailer (which serves pretty much as an old-school teaser trailer), Paramount / SEGA have officially kicked off their marketing for the hotly-anticipated 4th entry in the film series.

While it was already known, the trailer also reaffirmed the fact that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will premiere on the 19th of March 2027 – one year from now.

Plot details are being kept light so far, however based on the teaser released it is clear that both Amy Rose and Metal Sonic are set to be prominent additions to the cast. Of course, with the ending to the 3rd film it was already clear that Amy would be joining the roster. Still, it is exciting to see Metal Sonic also set to feature.

Additionally, thanks to certain wording being used during the voiceover present in the teaser, it is possible that Chaos could also appear at some point. We will have to wait a year to find out. Regardless, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 looks set to be another excellent entry in this ever-growing film series.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
