Detroit: Become Human has sold 9 million copies

Detroit: Become Human is the latest game from French studio Quantic Dream. Released back in 2018, the game saw a mixed reception, with many loving it and others not so much. Despite this, the game has gone on to be a big success for the studio – having now officially sold over 9 million copies.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the official Quantic Dream page said “We are approaching the end of the year, and we are proud to announce that the Detroit: Become Human community has grown by 1 million since the beginning of 2023. That’s 9 million reasons to thank you all for being part of this adventure and sharing the stories of Connor, Kara and Markus.”

As mentioned by the studio, Detroit: Become Human hit 8 million copies sold back in January of this year, and so to see the console exclusive continuing to sell consistently more than 5 years on is impressive to say the least – and it’s a good thing too as Quantic Dreams’ Star Wars title is still nowhere to be seen.

KitGuru says: What do you think of Detroit: Become Human? What is your favourite Quantic Dream game? Will Detroit sell 10 million copies before Star Wars Eclipse comes out? Let us know down below.
