Microsoft announces date for next Xbox games showcase

We're still awaiting news on the next major Xbox Games Showcase, which is due to take place this June. Still, the Xbox team does have other announcements to make in the meantime, so there will be an indie-focused showcase next week.

The next ID@Xbox Digital Showcase has been announced, scheduled for the 29th of April at 6PM BST. We're expecting some surprise announcements, but Microsoft has confirmed some of the big titles it will be showing off.

For starters, we will be getting an update on Palworld, a breakout Game Pass hit on console and PC. Chances are this will include a tease for upcoming content updates, like the upcoming Arena PvP mode.

Dungeons of Hinterberg is another game set to get some time in the spotlight, as is Thunder Lotus Games' upcoming massive multiplayer game, 33 Immortals. One other sure highlight is Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, which is the next major game from Don't Nod, the studio behind Life is Strange.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
