Keanu Reeves is voicing Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic 3

The Sonic the Hedgehog film series has done well for SEGA so far, with both the 2020 title and its sequel performing well at the box office and being equally as well received by fans and critics alike. Just as we saw with Knuckles the Echidna, SEGA/Paramount are going all out on the 3rd film’s casting, confirming that Keanu Reeves will be voicing Shadow the Hedgehog.

As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, Keanu Reeves of The Matrix; John Wick and Cyberpunk 2077 fame has joined the cast of Sonic the Hedgehog, with him set to voice the much-loved anti-hero Shadow the Hedgehog for the third film.

This choice is interesting as Knuckles the Echidna is voiced by Idris Elba – who recently played Solomon Reed in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion.

As with all Sonic characters, Shadow the Hedgehog has been portrayed by a wide number of actors over the years. It will be interesting to see how fans react to Keanu’s casting.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
