Bloodborne Kart (now named Nightmare Kart) releases next month

With it having been almost a decade now since the release of FromSoftware’s PS4 exclusive Bloodborne, fans have had plenty of time to fulfil their own desires for more Bloodborne in one form or another. One of the more interesting projects was Bloodborne Kart. Though the name had to be changed for legal reasons, ‘Nightmare Kart’ is set to arrive for free next month.

Releasing a trailer onto YouTube, the Bloodborne – now Nightmare – Kart creator Lilith Walther revealed that the retro-inspired kart racer will be available for free from the 31st of May via Steam or Itch.io.

As mentioned, the game was originally a Bloodborne inspired PS1-styled kart racer, however, with the project set to finally release officially the connections to the PlayStation IP had to be removed.

Even so, when it launches next month, Nightmare Kart will include a surprising amount of content:

• 20 Racers
• 16 Maps
• Full campaign mode with boss fights
• VS Battle mode

It is interesting to see what fans have been doing in the absence of any new Bloodborne content. Hopefully Nightmare Kart proves to be a smashing success.
