Sony to hold next PlayStation Showcase in May

The last PlayStation Showcase took place in January, giving us new looks at upcoming PS5 titles like the Until Dawn remake, Stellar Blade and Death Stranding 2. Things have been quiet since then, but that looks set to be changing soon.

Sony typically likes to hold its Summer showcase towards the end of May, just ahead of the rush of game news in June, before bringing another update in September. According to Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb, that trend will continue in 2024.

Grubb has heard that Sony is planning its next showcase for May, which fits with previous timelines. One of the big games anticipated to be shown is the Silent Hill 2 remake from Blooper Team, but aside from that, not much else is known.

This will also be around the time that Ghost of Tsushima comes to PC. It would certainly be nice to get some kind of update on what Sucker Punch is working on next.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
