Starfield pre-loads are now live

Starfield is currently the top-selling game on Steam with fans of Bethesda's previous games flooding in with pre-orders. If you're looking to play the game as soon as possible, then you'll be happy to learn that pre-loading is now live.

You could already preload the Game Pass version of the game but now, those on Steam can also pre-load the game ahead of time. The download comes in at just over 115GB so it will take some time. Of course, there is also the pre-load unlocking process that takes place when the game releases and that takes some extra time on top of the download.

Starfield is in an odd position as the game has two release dates. If you've pre-ordered the premium version of the game, or purchased the Game Pass Premium upgrade for £34.99, then you can start playing this Friday, the 1st of September at 1AM BST.

Those with a pre-order of the standard edition will get access five days later, on the 6th of September at 1AM BST.
