Sega begins teasing new Crazy Taxi game

Earlier this month, Sega confirmed to investors that it is still moving ahead with its ‘classic IP revival' effort. Now, just a couple of weeks later, Sega has begun teasing the return of Crazy Taxi.

The Crazy Taxi series began in 1999 and later served as one of the best-sellers on the Sega Dreamcast in 2000. There were multiple sequels stretching into the PS2 era, but the series has been on ice for decades now. That will change soon, with Sega rebooting the series.

The image above is our very first look at the new Crazy Taxi game. It doesn't give away much, but it does show that Sega is ramping up towards a reveal. For context, the Craxy Taxi Twitter account had not been active for seven years until this teaser was posted.

Presumably, this means we will be getting a proper announcement for the game over the Summer.

Aside from Crazy Taxi, Sega also has plans to revive the likes of Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio and Streets of Rage.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
