Arkane could reveal Dishonored 3 very soon

During the court case between Microsoft and the FTC over the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, a number of documents leaked, revealing a roadmap of upcoming exclusive games, as well as early plans for the next-gen Xbox console. One of the games mentioned was none other than Dishonored 3 and now, rumours are swirling that the game will be announced this week.

As part of the leaked documents gathered as part of the discovery process for court proceedings between Microsoft and the FTC, Microsoft had to hand over sensitive business documents, including early plans for the next Xbox console, and a roadmap for upcoming games on its release schedule. As part of a roadmap for Bethesda, the company has Dishonored 3 planned for FY2024.

Now, leaker and podcaster, Nate the Hate, has claimed that he has heard that Arkane Lyon's next game will be announced at The Game Awards this week. Given that we see Dishonored 3 listed on an official roadmap document, this appears to be the most likely option for a new game announcement.

While the Dishonored games were both very well received, Arkane went in a different direction after Dishonored 2, working on titles like Deathloop and Redfall in an effort to get more acquainted with multiplayer. A return to the studio's best known IP would be welcomed.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
