Hades is coming to mobile in 2024 via Netflix Games

Over the past year, Netflix has brought quite a few console games to mobile via its Netflix Games service, with the likes of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, Oxenfree and more being ported to mobile exclusively for subscribers. In a surprising move, the critically acclaimed rogue-lite Hades is set to be added to the service next year.

As part of the streaming service’s ‘Geeked Week’ Netflix announced that the Supergiant Games-developed Hades “is breaking new ground! The critically acclaimed rogue-like game is coming exclusively to iOS via Netflix next year.”

Additionally, the well-known indie puzzle-platformer ‘Braid’ from Jonathan Blow (of The Witness fame) is also coming to Netflix on mobile, with the company saying “Relive the nostalgia with BRAID: ANNIVERSARY EDITION! If you loved it before, get ready to fall in love again. Coming exclusively to mobile on Netflix.”

Interestingly, based on the wording it seems as though Hades will be exclusive to iOS while Braid will come to both iOS and Android. Regardless, it is cool to see that Hades (and Braid) are coming to mobile platforms – even if it is exclusive to a subscription service.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
