Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be playable at Tokyo Game Show

A couple weeks ago Capcom announced their plans for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, revealing that they would host a “special online program”. Few details were shared at the time, however we now know at least one of the games which will be present both during the showcase and in-person: Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the official Dragon’s Dogma page said “Dragon's Dogma 2 joins the Capcom lineup at #TGS2023! Tune in to the TGS 2023 Capcom Online Program on 9/21, 7am PT [3pm UK Time] as Director Hideaki Itsuno shares new gameplay and info.”

Additionally, the team confirmed that those who manage to attend the event in person will be able to demo the game (and will even get a goodie bag after the fact).

Initial excitement for Capcom’s TGS showcase was originally rather muted, especially as the few games confirmed to be present included already-released titles such as Street Fighter VI and Exoprimal.

That said, the confirmation that we will get a new look at Dragon’s Dogma 2 makes the 50-minute presentation decidedly more intriguing. Hopefully additional games are announced for the event in the coming weeks.
