The first wave of Starfield mods have arrived, including a tool to add DLSS

Starfield has only been live for a few hours but modders are already hard at work. There are already dozens of mods for the game live, including a tool to replace FSR2 with DLSS or Intel Xe Super Sampling.

The Starfield Upscaler mod was uploaded today shortly after early access to the game went live for pre-order customers. Bethesda didn't include DLSS or XeSS in the game at an official capacity but as with many other games, mods can fix that up.

The mod is compatible with both the Xbox Game Pass version of the game on PC, as well as the Steam version. Of course, DLSS is only compatible with Nvidia RTX GPUs, but Intel XeSS should work across all brands, just like FSR 2.

I will say that in my time with the game, I have found that FSR 2 is holding up quite well in Starfield. However, the option to replace it is there for those who prefer an alternative.

KitGuru Says: As with other Bethesda games, we're bound to see hundreds if not thousands of mods for Starfield in the years ahead. For now, the mods are minimal but eventually, we will see much bigger tweaks and changes to the core game.
