Lenovo Legion Go to be powered by Ryzen Z1 Extreme, launching this week

A few weeks ago, we started to hear that Lenovo was preparing its own Windows-based handheld gaming device, similar to the ROG Ally. The Lenovo Legion Go is now expected to be officially announced later this week, although details on specs and pricing have already hit the web.

According to WindowsReport, the Legion Go will ship with Windows 11, enabling greater compatibility with PC games. The handheld will ship with an 8.8-inch display and will be powered by AMD's Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, which was developed for handheld gaming devices just like this. Other specs include 16GB of RAM and up to a 1TB SSD.

According to the report, the Legion Go will have an additional selling point, as the handheld can apparently pair up with the Lenovo Legion glasses, a pair of pricey AR glasses, enabling new types of content to be played on the go.

The Lenovo Legion Go will apparently be announced this Friday, with availability following in October, priced at $799. Whether or not the device will launch worldwide or be limited to certain markets still remains to be seen.
