PS5 console exclusive Pacific Drive delayed to Early 2024

Pacific Drive is a unique-looking run-based, first-person driving survival game in which “your car is your only companion as you navigate a surreal and anomaly-filled reimagining of the Pacific Northwest”. Originally planned to release some time this year, the creepy survival title has now been announced to be coming out sometime early in 2024 instead.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the team at Ironwood Studios said “As summer comes to a close, we’d like to share that Pacific Drive is moving its release to early 2024. This decision gives us the room to make Pacific Drive the best it can be, while still prioritizing the health of our team.”

They continued, “As many know, we’ve been hard at work bringing this idea to life for quite some time, and every day adds even more to a game we’re all proud of. In this final stretch however, it’s important to us that we stay true to ourselves, and not compromise on the team’s well being.”

It’s not all bad news however, as the team confirmed that “next week at the Future Games Show, we’ll be participating in the main showcase with a brand new trailer. We're so excited for you all to see it!”

While we are unlikely to get a new release date at the event, it will be exciting to get another look at Pacific Drive – especially as the wait for the game is now a little bit longer.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
