Borderlands 4 appears to be in development

It has been a few years since Gearbox dropped Borderlands 3. Since then, Gearbox has worked on a couple of spin-off games but it looks like now, the studio's attention is turning back to the mainline series, with Borderlands 4 in development.

While not officially announced yet, Games Radar points out that actor, Angie Jho Le, added Borderlands 4 to their voice acting résumé, specifically voicing the previously unseen character Aiyumi. Producer Nadia Danova, has also listed work on Borderlands 4 on their LinkedIn page.

If that wasn't evidence enough that Borderlands 4 was now in development, a tweet from Gearbox founder, Randy Pitchford, offers more evidence. In a recruitment tweet, Pitchford calls for developers to “get in on some Borderlands action”, adding that they are “working on the big one”, which seems to be a clear indication that a new mainline Borderlands game is in the works and not a new spin-off.

That tweet was posted back in 2021, which would mean that Gearbox has been working on Borderlands 4 for a while now already. If voice work is being recorded now, we wouldn't be surprised to see a proper announcement for Borderlands 4 in the next year.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
