AMD confirms new “enthusiast-class” Radeon RX 7000 GPUs coming this quarter

AMD's long-awaited Radeon RX 7800 and 7700 series cards could well launch this quarter. During the company's Q2 earnings call, Dr. Lisa Su, AMD's CEO and president, confirmed that the red team will release new “enthusiast-class” Radeon RX 7000 GPUs in Q3 2023.

AMD is getting ready to release its new enthusiast-grade Radeon 7000 series GPUs, according to VideoCardz. Considering AMD rates the Radeon RX 7900 series as “ultra-enthusiast”, we're led to believe that these new graphics cards are either the RX 7800 (XT), the RX 7700 (XT), or both.

The RX 7800 and RX 7700 series were expected to release much earlier. However, for yet unknown reasons (reports point to overstock of RX 6900 and 6800 cards and issues with the Navi 32 GPU), it looks like the company is only ready to launch them now.

Besides the Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs already available and the RX 7800 and 7700 series, AMD should also launch entry-level RX 7500 graphics cards at some point, although exactly when is still anyone's guess.

KitGuru says: Although slowly, AMD is finally ramping up the launch of more Radeon RX 7000 series desktop cards. With Nvidia already having most of its lineup on shelves, some market segments were left with the green team as the only option. Fortunately, it seems that will change soon.
