Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj and more coming to Call of Duty

Back in April of last year, real-life rapper Snoop Dogg was added into a number of Call of Duty titles. Now, with Warzone 2 and MW2 out in the world, “The D O Double G” is once again making an appearance – this time being joined by Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage and more.

As reported by the Call of Duty-focused publication CharlieIntel, a number of new licensed operators are set to be coming to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 as well as Warzone. While not yet officially announced, the list of real world celebrities which are said to be coming include:

  • 21 Savage
  • Zoltan Bathory (Five Finger Death Punch)

As mentioned, this won’t be the first time that Snoop Dogg has been added into Call of Duty. That said, it is interesting to see the line-up of celebrities which are set to make an appearance.

Speaking of celebrities, as confirmed via the PlayStation Blog, one of the most iconic video game characters of all time will be dropping midway through Season 5: Lara Croft.

No further details were shared, and so we do not yet know which form of Lara Croft this collab will use. Regardless, it is interesting to see the types of characters and celebrities that Activision has been securing for Call of Duty.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
