Marvel’s Avengers gets 85% discount on Steam ahead of delisting

Marvel’s Avengers hasn’t had the most comfortable of existences, with the game launching to criticism – and its post-launch updates doing little to improve the consensus. Unfortunately earlier this year it was announced that the game will be delisted. Ahead of its removal in September, the game is currently £4.49.

Marvel’s Avengers is on sale right now on Steam for just £4.49 – 85% off of its original price. The promotion will run until the 29th of June, meaning you have some time to nab it if you have yet to.

Avengers may have launched to a less-than-stellar reaction, but the game was slowly but surely improved through free DLC and a number of updates. Back in January the team announced that “After two-and-a-half years and introducing twelve of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, following Update 2.8 on March 31, 2023, we will no longer add new content or features to Marvel’s Avengers. All official support for the game will end on September 30, 2023.”

Fortunately, a majority of the game’s functionality will remain intact, including the multiplayer. Furthermore, all of the many dozens of skins and cosmetics have now been released for free, meaning you essentially get the full package for less than a fiver. While not the best game in the world, for some it is definitely worth its (current) price.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
