Nintendo rumoured to be hosting a Nintendo Direct this July

With Sony having recently hosted their PlayStation Showcase, and Summer Game Fest + Microsoft set to premiere their own showcases, many have been wondering what (if anything) Nintendo has planned for the Summer. According to one insider we may get a Nintendo Direct next month.

During the most recent episode of the Giant Bombcast, industry insider Jeff Grubb claimed to have heard “early rumblings” of an upcoming Nintendo Direct, saying “I’ll say that I'm hearing something’s gonna be in July, next month. Whether that is a proper Direct or like a partner Direct or a 3rd-party showcase Direct– however they wanna frame it…I have no idea but it seems like– don’t expect anything of that sort at least until next month.”

Of course, we did have a Nintendo Direct relatively recently, however it was focused exclusively on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – and with that game officially out now, what Nintendo has planned next is anyone’s guess.

All that said, Nintendo skips to the beat of their own drum, and so a Nintendo Direct could just as easily be announced tomorrow. We shall see.

KitGuru says: When do you think we will get the next Nintendo Direct? Will it be a big one? How many Directs away are we from a Switch successor announcement? Let us know your thoughts down below.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
