Dragon’s Dogma 2 reveal gives us an early glimpse at gameplay

Back in Summer 2022, Capcom officially announced Dragon's Dogma 2 as part of the original game's 10th-anniversary celebrations. Today during the PlayStation Showcase, Capcom's first proper trailer for the game arrived, giving us a brief look at early gameplay.

Dragon's Dogma became something of a cult classic over the past ten years, so when the sequel was officially announced in 2022, it turned out to be a very big deal. With the sequel, Capcom is moving the game over to the RE Engine, in keeping with all of the company's other major projects in recent years.

In the new reveal trailer, we see early gameplay footage. The game hasn't been in development for that long and the trailer did not carry a release date, so the inclusion of gameplay in this trailer was certainly a welcome surprise.

Unfortunately, the trailer did not include a specific release date, or even a release year. However, I'd put my money on there being a good chance this ends up arriving in the second half of 2024, or perhaps early 2025. When the came does release, it'll be heading to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

KitGuru Says: What did you all think of the Dragon's Dogma 2 trailer? To me, it was one of the sneakier surprises of the show, as I don't think anyone was expecting to hear more about this game so soon.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
