Capcom’s Exoprimal is releasing in July, open beta happening next week

Just as the leaks claimed, last night during the Capcom Spotlight stream the publisher announced a release date for Exoprimal, an upcoming co-operative shooter that pits humans up against dinosaurs.

Exoprimal will be launching for previous and current-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and PC, on the 14th of July 2023. You'll get to test out the game a little early, as an open beta test is happening for all platforms from the 17th to the 19th of March. This will be a crossplay test too, so you should be able to team up with friends on other platforms.

Exoprimal is a team-based action game that pits “humanity's cutting-edge exosuit technology against history's most ferocious beasts”. The game is set in the year 2040, so expect a futuristic look at the world and plenty of high-tech weaponry to use against waves of dinosaurs.

While the game is primarily billed as a PvE affair, there will also be PvP missions, so it won't just be you and your squad up against dinosaurs, you'll also have to worry about other players at points too.

KitGuru Says: The beta is just one week away, so we should be able to get a good idea of what this game is all about and how fun it is. Will any of you be downloading the beta next week?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
