Pokémon Scarlet & Violet expansions announced for 2023

Much like Pokemon Sword & Shield, the latest games in the series, Scarlet & Violet, will also be getting two expansions. The first major DLC is arriving this summer, with the second scheduled to roll out before the end of the year.

Today as part of a Pokemon Presents stream to celebrate Pokemon Day, Game Freak announced a two-part expansion for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, known as ‘The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero'. Part 1, titled ‘The Teal Mask' will arrive in Fall 2023, and Part 2, known as ‘The Indigo Disk' will arrive sometime this Winter.

While we don't know much about the DLCs at this time, they will include new story content, new Pokemon to find and new areas to explore. While the DLC is being split into two parts, it seems they won't be sold separately, but rather as one bundle. Pre-orders will go live on the Switch eShop later today.

While paid DLC is on the way, Scarlet & Violet will also continue to get free updates, including a new Tera Raid for each game, introducing Walking Wake in Scarlet and Iron Leaves in Violet.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
