Starfield showcase announcement ‘imminent’

The last we heard, Starfield is still heading out in the first half of this year, but Bethesda has yet to put an official date on it. Sources claimed a few weeks ago that the game is now ‘fully playable' from start to finish, with the team primarily focusing on bug fixing and polishing in time for launch. Now it looks like we'll get our next official look at Starfield in April.

VGC founder, Andy Robinson recently tweeted that he has heard that Xbox's Starfield Showcase will be announced imminently. Interestingly just a few days later, an official Bethesda Twitter account tweeted at the Xbox Sweden page teasing a ‘date' between the two on the 21st of April.

That tweet from Bethesda has not yet led to a more substantial announcement, meaning one social media manager likely got a little ahead of themselves. While not directly confirmed to be the Starfield showcase, it makes the most sense, as we've already seen quite a bit of Redfall, which is due to release in May.

Rumours currently point to a June release date for Starfield.

KitGuru Says: April 21st is a little later than I was expecting, especially if Starfield is really planned to release in June. However, it is worth noting that no official announcement has been made yet, so plans can change. It is entirely possible that Bethesda's tweet was referring to some other event.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
