Sony is reportedly remaking Horizon Zero Dawn for PS5

While there was some controversy around The Last of Us Part 1 Remake for PS5 and its $70 price tag, the game did review well and seems to be selling. Now, Sony is looking to revamp another not-so-old title – Horizon Zero Dawn.

According to MP1st and VGC, Sony is currently working on a new version of Horizon Zero Dawn using the updated character models, textures and animations from this year's sequel, Horizon Forbidden West. This would deliver a new PS5-only version of the game, and like The Last of Us Part 1, it will likely cost a full $70.

According to Gematsu, there is currently a document circulating with a number of unannounced PlayStation projects listed, including the Horizon Zero Dawn remake. Apparently, the information on this document is legitimate, so we should see a few more leaks in the coming months.

Sony has not officially announced plans to remake Horizon Zero Dawn for PS5.

KitGuru Says: Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the best looking games of the PS4 generation, especially on PS4 Pro hardware with access to higher resolutions. It seems very odd to ‘remake' a game from five years ago, even if Forbidden West did introduce some very nice graphical improvements across the board.
