Black Myth: Wukong finally gets release window

The debut trailer for Black Myth: Wukong took many by surprise when it was released back in early 2020, showing off what looked to be a highly-stylised and polished action-RPG from a previously unknown studio. Since then the team has continued to work diligently on the title, with Black Myth: Wukong now finally getting a release window.

As part of an amusing stop-motion video released to celebrate the Chinese New Year (captioned “Good luck, good health, and lots of happiness. Game Science wishes you a very happy fancy dandy Year of the Bunny!”), Black Myth: Wukong’s development studio revealed that the hotly-anticipated title is planned for release in Summer of 2024.

Of course, with it being so far away, anything can happen and so it would not be surprising to see the game delayed beyond this point. In fact, back in 2020 the developers claimed they wanted the title out by 2023 – which we now know isn’t happening.

That said, the team has been working on Black Myth: Wukong for quite a while and so hopefully they do manage to hit their intended new release window. We will have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
