Genre-bending Them’s Fightin’ Herds is free on the Epic Games Store

For the final two weeks of 2022, Epic Games is giving away a new game for free every single day. Right now, those with an Epic Games account can get their hands on the genre-bending 2D fighting game ‘Them’s Fightin’ Herds’ – offering much more than meets the eye.

Available to add to your library right now (and will remain so until 20th of December at 4pm UK time), Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a fully-featured 2D fighting game in one aspect – including support for rollback netcode – while simultaneously offering a fleshed out SNES-like RPG campaign.

Additionally, the PvPvE multiplayer mode once again bends genres, being a top-down loot exploration adventure with asymmetrical PvP elements. All in all, Them’s Fightin’ Herds is much more than it initially seems, and with it being free on the Epic Games Store, the title’s crossplay multiplayer servers should be quite active.

Them’s Fightin’ Herds is available to add to your Epic Games library for free from now until the 4pm on the 20th of December, at which point it will be replaced by an as-of-yet-unknown title. The description for Them’s Fightin’ Herds is as follows: “Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a 2D fighting game featuring a cast of adorable animals designed by acclaimed cartoon producer Lauren Faust. Beneath the cute and cuddly surface, a serious fighter awaits!”

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
