Overwatch 2 Season 2 content updates detailed

Earlier this week, Blizzard unveiled the gameplay trailer for Overwatch 2's next tank hero, Ramattra. Now, Blizzard has returned, unveiling the content roadmap for Season 2.

Overwatch 2's second season kicks off on the 6th of December, bringing a new season pass, a new hero character and a new game mode. We already know everything we need to know about the new hero, Ramattra, whose abilities have already been detailed. Aside from the new hero, the new season will bring a new map, and the map pool will be refreshed too.

The new map is for the Escort game mode and is called Shamboli Monastery. This is a brand new map for the game, but we'll also see some old maps returning to the map pool next season, including Blizzard World, Watchpoint: Gibraltar and Rialto.

This season will also have multiple events. For starters, Winter Wonderland is back and will run from the 13th of December until the 4th of January. Then, on the 5th of January, a limited-time mode, Battle for Olympus, will go live. Finally, Lunar New Year will also take place before the end of this season.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
