More Assassin’s Creed Mirage details leak

More leaks have come to the surface after Ubisoft officially announced the new entry to the Assassin's Creed franchise. As the image shared by the publisher suggested, the setting will be in the Middle East, specifically in the city of Baghdad.

According to the YouTuber j0nathan (via Rebs Gaming), the capital of Iraq will be the only city where you'll be playing in Assassin's Creed Mirage. The metropolis is reportedly divided into four districts, each with a boss controlling the area.

The upcoming game will seemingly return to the series’ roots, following a “back to basics” approach and bringing back fan-favourite mechanics such as throwing knives, hiding places on rooftops, and more parkour. Besides bringing back lanterns to quickly turn the corner of a building, AC: Mirage is also expected to introduce long poles that will allow you to reach distant buildings. Moreover, expect bigger crowds of NPCs, comparable to Assassin's Creed Unity, and slow-motion assassinations, mostly aerial ones.

Ubisoft has already confirmed Assassin's Creed Mirage. We expect to learn more about the new game during Ubisoft Forward next week.

KitGuru says: Do you prefer the first Assassin's Creed games over the more recent ones? Should Ubisoft follow the action-stealth genre instead of the open-world RPG approach for future entries to the franchise?
