It will reportedly take up to 40 hours to beat God of War Ragnarök

We're still a month away from God of War: Ragnarök, but it seems that the game is deep into the final stretch, with playtesters running through the game's content to spot bugs. According to sources familiar with the game's development, we now know that Ragnarök will offer a similarly long adventure to its predecessor.

According to sources speaking with Insider Gaming, it will take players roughly 20 hours to finish the game's main story, If you pad out your runtime with side content, the game will take around 40 hours to complete. Of the 20 hours of main story, around three and a half hours of that are cinematic scenes.

Taking a look at How Long to Beat, this isn't far off God of War (2018), which also had a 20-hour long campaign, which could be stretched to over 30 hours if you engage in all the side content. True completionists looking for every trophy will get even more playtime out of the game.

God of War Ragnarök will launch on the 9th of November for PS5.

KitGuru Says: 2018's God of War had great pacing in my opinion, as well as an excellent blend between gameplay and cinematic moments. From the sounds of it, Ragnarök won't mess with that formula too much. Are you planning on picking this up next month?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
