Amy Hennig’s Marvel game will star Captain America and Black Panther

Over the weekend at D23, Disney and Marvel held their very first games showcase, announcing a number of new titles. The biggest announcement of the bunch was a first look at the upcoming title from former Naughty Dog director, Amy Hennig.

While EA is rumoured to have its own Black Panther game in the works, the character will also be a key part of Hennig's upcoming Marvel game. The team at Skydance is working on a Marvel game set during the WWII era. The game will star a young Captain America, as well as Black Panther and a few other recognisable faces.

The game itself falls into the exact genre you would expect – it is an action-adventure game with a focus on blockbuster set pieces and overarching narrative.

The game unfortunately does not have a title yet, nor do we have a release date or any gameplay footage. Skydance is currently working on this project, alongside other in-development titles.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
