Fire Emblem Engage officially announced for Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Direct opened up with the announcement of the next Fire Emblem game – Fire Emblem Engage. This is the mainline Fire Emblem game that leaked through screenshots earlier this year, but unfortunately it won't quite make it into 2022.

Fire Emblem Engage is not a direct sequel to Three Houses, but it will be structured similarly, with a split between tactical battles and free roam segments where you get to know NPC characters and engage in side content.

The new combat feature this time around is the ability to call upon the abilities of past Fire Emblem heroes, granting you access to iconic weapons for a period of time. This appears to be the Fire Emblem Heroes inspired mechanic mentioned in earlier leaks.

Fire Emblem Engage unfortunately won't be out in time for this holiday season, but it won't be far behind. The game is currently scheduled to release on the 20th of January 2023.

KitGuru Says: A new Fire Emblem was exactly what I was hoping for. Hopefully this one can live up to the standard set by Three Houses with a full new cast of characters.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
