Major Dreams update adds greater art style variety

Media Molecule’s Dreams is one of the most interesting games currently, offering a unique way to both develop and play games, films, shows, music and all other forms of media. The team at Media Molecule have been consistently updating the game, with this latest patch bringing a whole host of major improvements.

Making the announcement on their blog, the team at Media Molecule revealed Dreams v2.44. Named ‘Create Mode TLC Part 2’ this new update brings “a host of exciting changes and improvements to our creative toolset,” the most interesting being:

  • New Time & Date Gadget
  • Improved Sun & Sky Gadget
  • Improved Calculator Gadget
  • New Bake Emitted Tool
  • Improved Adjust Detail Tool
  • Improved Clone Tool
  • Brand New Audio Tweaks
  • New Easy Conversions!
  • New Opaque Square Fleck

This is just a few of the MANY updates, fixes, changes and additions being brought to Dreams with this latest update. Most interesting of all is the addition of a new fleck, which should help to allow for Dreamscapers to expand the art style of their works.

Prior to now, many of the games and experiences created within Dreams all took on a similar art style due to the type of tools on offer. Expanding this with new tools will only make for more visually interesting and varied experiences. The full list of changes and additions can be found HERE.
