Sennheiser’s new Momentum 4 wireless headphones boast 60 hour battery life

Sennheiser has been in the audio game for years, establishing a firm position as a standard-bearer in the industry. The company is hoping to retain that with its new Momentum 4 Wireless headphones, with improved Active Noise Cancelling and 60-hour battery life.

While Bose has the Quiet Comfort 45 and Sony the W1000XM5 headphones, Sennheiser will soon rival both with the Momentum 4 Wireless. Featuring an acoustic system powered by a 42 mm transducer, the audio quality of Sennheiser's new wireless headphones is enhanced with improved dynamics and clarity. Add Adaptive Noise Cancellation (hybrid) to the mix, and you'll be able to listen without distraction.

Like most high-end ANC headphones, the Momentum 4 features a Transparency Mode that allows you to hear your surroundings using outside-faced microphones (two per side). To customise the headphone settings, the company recommends using the Sennheiser Smart Control app. Supported codecs include SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX adaptive. For wireless connectivity, the headphones use BT 5.2, and for wired, the 2.5mm or 3.5mm jack.

For increased comfort, the Momentum 4 uses a padded headband and cushioned earpads. Moreover, it comes with a low-friction hinge that adjusts to the shape of your head, ensuring the headphones aren't exerting any pressure when wearing them. When pulling them down to your neck, you can fold them flat, making them much more comfortable to wear.

Charging the Momentum 4 for 5 minutes can give you up to 4 hours of playtime. However, a maxed-out battery can last up to 60 hours using Bluetooth connectivity and ANC (mid volume). A cool feature of the Momentum 4 is the Smart Pause tech, which stops playback the moment you take it off, and continues once you put it back. There's also Auto On/Off that can be enabled to power the headphones when you pick them up and shutdown when you're not using them.

The Sennheiser Momentum 4 wireless headphones are now available to pre-order. The official release is set for August 23, priced at $349.95. Within the Momentum 4 package comes a small case to transport them, as well as the charger and cables.

KitGuru says: Overall, the Momentum 4 Wireless looks like a good option with a competitive feature set in its price bracket. Still, considering we're talking about headphones, the audio quality is always the most important part.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
