The Xbox Game Pass family plan lets you share subscription with four people

Earlier this year, multiple sources began claiming that Xbox was planning to roll out a new tier for Game Pass – a family plan tier that would allow up to five users on one subscription. Now just a few months later, it looks like Microsoft is pushing ahead with this.

In a small, limited-region test, Microsoft has begun allowing Xbox Insiders to obtain a new version of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate that allows you to invite up to four other Microsoft Accounts to join your ‘family' and use the subscription. Each account will get access to the full Xbox Game Pass library and its other benefits.

Currently, the test is only taking place in Colombia and Ireland. Insiders can still invite non-insiders to their family plan, but you will have to be in the same country.

We unfortunately don't know the exact price of the Game Pass family plan yet, but we do know that Microsoft values one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as 18 days of the family subscription. With that in mind, we could be looking at over £30 a month for the family plan.

KitGuru Says: This is now in public testing, which means the Xbox Game Pass family plan should debut properly in the not too distant future. Hopefully someone in the limited test can confirm pricing too. How much would you be willing to pay for a family tier of Xbox Game Pass?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
