Metroid Prime Remaster reportedly releasing this year

There have been a ton of Metroid Prime rumours over the Switch's lifecycle. At one point, many were convinced that we would be getting a Prime Trilogy Remaster, followed by Metroid Prime 4, but no such remaster has ever seen the light of day. That might change this year though, according to new reports.

Rather than a Metroid Prime Trilogy remaster, Nintendo has apparently created one remaster for Metroid Prime 1, which according to Jeff Grubb, will be one of Nintendo's major holiday releases for this year.

Nintendo currently has a Direct Mini coming up tomorrow, which will primarily focus on third-party games from Nintendo's partners – like Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and possibly even Persona 5 Royal for the Switch.

Nintendo announced Metroid Prime 4 years ago with a logo teaser and has not given much of an update on the game since then. At this point, it is looking like it will be one of the very last major exclusives for the Switch generation.

KitGuru Says: A Metroid Prime remaster would be nice, but we've been led on with Metroid rumours so many times over the last five years. With that in mind, I wouldn't believe this until Nintendo actually announces it.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
