Asus launches first ROG gaming headset with dual-connectivity modes

The Asus ROG Delta S first launched as a wired-only headset, but now, there is a new wireless version, and it might be the best ASUS ROG wireless headset to date, bringing dual wireless connectivity.

Coming with a dedicated USB-C 2.4GHz dongle, the Delta S Wireless can be connected to PCs, smartphones and tablets via the low-latency mode at a range of up to 25 meters. Alternatively, you can also use the built-in BT module to listen to music, podcasts, and videos. The 25-hour battery is enough to last over a day of use. A 15-minute charge can give 3 hours of playtime, which should be enough for your average gaming session.

The AI beamforming microphones are concealed within the headset's casing and create a 40° acoustic zone in front of the user's mouth to reduce background noise to avoid unwanted sounds. To further improve the audio calls, there's also an AI noise cancellation tech that reduces over 500 million types of background noise, including chatter, keyboard clatter and mouse clicks. To configure this and other settings, Asus recommends the Armoury Crate software.

The Delta S Wireless uses Asus Essence 50mm drivers tilted 12°, allowing the headset to push sound directly into the ear canal, increasing overall sounding quality and comfort. Moreover, it uses an airtight chamber design to complement the listening experience further, offering a more stable and consistent sound. Lastly, the headset uses a multi-layer printed circuit board and a unique layout (ROG Hyper-Grounding) to prevent interference.

Weighing just 318 grams, the Delta S Wireless was designed so users can use them for hours straight. It also comes with D-shaped ear cushions matching the shape of human ears for a more comfortable fit. The headset comes with two sets of ear cushions made of different materials: protein leather and fabric mesh. Asus' new ROG Delta S wireless headset will become available in the Nordic region in August. A release date for other regions hasn't been announced.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
