Kojima’s next game ‘Overdose’ leaks ahead of reveal

It looks like Hideo Kojima will be unveiling his next game very soon. We recently learned through a voice actor that a Death Stranding sequel is in the works, but Kojima appears to have a different game on the way in the meantime. A leak this week has revealed ‘Overdose' as Kojima's next game.

According to prominent leaker, Tom Henderson (via TryHardGuides), Kojima Productions' next game is called ‘Overdose' and early footage of the title appears to show Death Stranding character, Mama, wearing a blue dress. However, Henderson also adds that the game does not appear to be Death Stranding 2, so this could be an entirely new game featuring the same actress.

The footage described has the character walking through dark corridors with a flashlight, before a jump scare occurs and a ‘Game Over' screen appears, followed by the words “A Hideo Kojima Game”.

Recently, Hideo Kojima was in talks with Geoff Keighley, indicating that Overdose will be one of the big reveals planned for the Summer Game Fest main show later this week.

KitGuru Says: It is worth noting that Kojima Productions did ask to have the original report taken down, which adds some validity to this leak. With that in mind, we should have a new Kojima game revealed before the end of the week.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
