Amazon announces free Prime gaming titles for June

As with many other services, each month, Amazon offers a number of games for free to all those with an Amazon Prime / Prime Gaming subscription. For the month of June you will be able to get your hands on a nice variety of titles, including Far Cry 4.

As we near the end of May, Amazon has now announced the list of games being given away for ‘free’ next month. From the 1st of June, those with an Amazon Prime account will be able to get their hands on:

  • Far Cry 4
  • Escape from Monkey Island
  • Astrologaster
  • Across the Grooves
  • Calico
  • WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship

Far Cry 4 is headlining June’s offerings. Originally released in 2014, this open world first-person shooter took all of the best gameplay and explorative elements of the highly successful Far Cry 3 and expanded upon them while also benefiting from the increased hardware capabilities of the game's target systems. As such, even almost 8 years later, Far Cry 4 is a worthwhile experience – assuming you enjoy Ubisoft's tried and tested open-world formula.

With just over half a week left until the service’s refresh, there is still plenty of time to get your hands on May’s free Prime Gaming titles, which are:

  • Dead Space 2
  • The Curse of Monkey Island
  • Shattered – Tale of the Forgotten King
  • Out of Line
  • Cat Quest
  • Mail Mole + ‘Xpress Deliveries

KitGuru says: What do you think of June’s line-up? Do you have a Prime Gaming subscription? What services do you think are worth the cost? Let us know down below.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
