Capcom may reveal new Street Fighter 6 details next week

This afternoon, Sony announced its next State of Play stream, promising “exciting reveals” from third-party partners. We may already know what one of those reveals is – Street Fighter 6.

Capcom announced Street Fighter 6 back in February with a short logo teaser trailer. According to industry reporter, Jeff Grubb, Capcom will have another Street Fighter 6 reveal prior to the next EVO tournament. It is expected that this new reveal will take place during the State of Play stream next week, followed by more details at EVO, which incidentally, Sony also owns.

Steet Fighter 6 was supposed to release ‘this summer' but it may end up coming a bit later in the autumn or winter months. No platforms have been confirmed for the game yet, but it will presumably be available on PlayStation and PC, just like Street Fighter 5.

Sony's State of Play stream takes place on the 2nd of June at 11PM BST. Square Enix has also recently hinted at a new trailer for Final Fantasy 16, so that may end up making an appearance during the show too.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
