Cyberpunk 2077 expansion leaks via latest patch

It seems that some major leaks got through in the latest Cyberpunk 2077 patch. Through datamining, new details about the game's upcoming expansion have been revealed, as well as large portions of the script.

As previous leaks suggested, the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion will indeed take place in Pacifica, and will open up new parts of the map that were previously inaccessible. In the interest of keeping things as spoiler free as possible, we won't say much more, but the story will star V and a brand new character, and the adventure takes place before the point of no return in the main game.

Unfortunately, the leaked script doesn't seem to include any dialogue from Johnny Silverhand, so the expansion seems to be pretty separated from the main story. If you really want to see all the spoilers, you can find them on Reddit.

While many of us expected the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion this year, CD Projekt Red is targeting a 2023 release date. We also previously thought that two expansions would come to the game, but due to various delays, we may end up only getting the one expansion. After that, CD Projekt Red will shift resources around to new projects, including future Cyberpunk games and The Witcher 4.

KitGuru Says: Given that the expansion is likely at least another full year away, this leak coming so early is very unfortunate.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
