Riot Games begins testing Valorant for Android

In recent years, the biggest PC and console shooters have also released mobile counterparts, broadening the audience for these games quite dramatically in some markets. Like Call of Duty, Fortnite, PUBG, Battlefield and others, Valorant will soon be available on iOS and Android devices.

As reported by DannyIntel, Riot appears to have begun testing Valorant Mobile in China with a limited multiplayer test. In the gallery below, you can see some screenshots of the mobile version, including the UI and touch control interface.

Riot Games has found plenty of success on mobile in recent years with games like Wild Rift and Legends of Runeterra. Soon, it looks like Valorant will be added to that list.

Previously, Riot has also previously confirmed that it has prototyped a console version of the game, but an Xbox, PlayStation or Switch release has not been announced.

KitGuru Says: Judging by the screenshots, Valorant Mobile will be standard Valorant gameplay and maps but with touch controls. We've seen battle royale and deathmatch games find success on mobile, but can that be achieved with a slower, 5v5 competitive FPS?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
