Dying Light next-gen update arrives for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One X

Prior to the launch of Dying Light 2 it was announced that the first game would receive a free update to take advantage of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Earlier this month, the next-gen update arrived for PS5, and now after a period of additional testing and development, the update has also arrived for Xbox Series X|S, as well as Xbox One X.

In an announcement yesterday afternoon, Techland confirmed that the next-gen update for Dying Light is now available as a free update on Xbox Series consoles, as well the last-gen Xbox One X. The update adds three new video modes for the Xbox Series X version, and two new video modes for the Xbox Series S and Xbox One X.

The Xbox Series X video modes are the same as the PS5, with a 1080p/60FPS performance mode, a 1440p/60FPS balanced mode and a 4K/30FPS quality mode.

The Xbox Series S and Xbox One X get a 1080p/30FPS mode and a 1440p/30FPS mode – this version also gets a new networking solution for online play.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
