Until Dawn studio reveals new game ‘The Quarry’

Supermassive Games has been working on the Dark Pictures Anthology of games over the last few years, but the Until Dawn studio now has something new in-store for us. Today, Supermassive officially announced The Quarry, with a full trailer coming tomorrow.

We first learned of The Quarry just a few weeks ago thanks to a trademark filing, which confirmed the existence of the game and its future release on both PC and consoles.

In the tweet above we get a short, 50-second long teaser trailer with a brief look at the game and some dialogue. The full trailer is coming tomorrow at 4PM GMT.

Supermassive Games has worked with a few publishers over the years. In this case, The Quarry will be published by 2K Games and is likely heading for an October 2022 release date.

KitGuru Says: This trademark only just became public a few weeks ago, so this is a very quick turnaround. With a full reveal coming tomorrow, it seems that this game has been in development for longer than we initially thought.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
